2022 – It’s time for you to shine!
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to our wonderful Take the Nations friends and family. We speak a supernatural blessing over you for this year and we pray that you will see the hand of God in your life like never before. We hope that you had an incredible Christmas season with your families and that you could all spend some good quality time fellowshipping and remembering the reason for the festive season; Jesus!
We are so excited for 2022 and know that God is ready to move in the nations. We believe it is time to dream big, think big and allow His thoughts to permeate ours. We refuse to let fear intimidate us, and we are ready to run with the vision He has placed on our hearts.
A Word for 2022
This year will be what you make it to be. God is ready to move, are you?
“As a man thinks, so he is” (Proverbs 23:7). Your thoughts set the course for the year, and what you set your heart on, you will see. Set your heart on Jesus, and you will see Him. Behold Him and become more like Him (2 Corinthians 3:18). This is a year to refocus our attention on One Thing; Jesus. Let’s refuse distractions to shift our focus. Let’s make Jesus our everything.
First love is the key, He loved us first, so let’s return to our First Love (Revelation 2:4). It’s a year of returning; coming back to where it all started. Where we first met Him. Remind yourself of all He’s done. Do not forget the price that was paid. Remind yourself of the cross; His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension. A life of compromise will no longer do. He’s looking for willing ones, those who seek righteousness. Those willing to lay down their works, to embrace His righteousness as their own. Saying “Yes” has a price, a responsibility. His righteousness looks like something, and holiness follows.
A life laid down, surrendered to His will, is what He seeks. Surrender is key to a life overflowing. Yield to His Spirit, He wants all of you. Will you pursue His will again? Will you stop and ask Him, “What do you desire?” Obedience is another key, unlocking the doors to favour and opportunity. When He speaks, will you obey? When He says “Go,” will you still stay? Sit back, relax, and enjoy a life of comfortability. This compromised Christianity will no longer do. We need to stop warming the bench, and step onto the field. The Lord never benched you, you benched yourself when you took a seat and observed. Now is the time to stop being an observer, and take your place as a Son of God and participate.
2022 can be a year of doing the same old things, or it can be a year of you stepping out and into the “Greater Things” (John 14:12). It’s up to you which one you choose, He’s given you everything, what will you do with what He’s given to you? (Ephesians 1:3). Share His love or keep it to yourself? Going is another key. “Go into all the world,” He said (Mark 16:15). We are instructed to share His Love-Gospel everywhere. Take hold of this instruction, and watch Him flow. It’s simpler than you think, telling people “Jesus loves you,” can change a life. “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast our demons,” freely you have received, now freely give! (Matthew 10:8).
Giving is another key, unlocking the doors to prosperity. Poverty and lack have been holding you back, “give and and shall receive” (Luke 6:38). Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. Let’s truly believe it this time. “Believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6). As you give, you shall always receive. Generosity sets you free. Let’s be a giving people, and give now more than ever, and watch God “open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.” (Malachi 3:10).
Praise is key to lifting God up, making Him your everything and giving Him the glory. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life, and you shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” (Psalm 23:6). Praise is key to confusing the enemy, sending confusion into that which was sent to harm you (2 Chronicles 20:22). Let’s give thanks to the Lord “For He is good, and His mercy endures forever.” (Psalm 136:1). When we praise God, His victory becomes ours, and we see Him shake everything that needs to be shaken.
Prayer is key to unlocking your destiny. Many of us are waiting for God to do it all. He’s given you a mouth to speak, so speak the Word. “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Proverbs 18:21). Speak life and watch it grow, the Word of God takes root in good soil. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17). When you speak the Word, you hear the Word, it takes root, and bears much fruit. “A gentle tongue is a tree of life,” (Proverbs 15:4). Let’s watch what we speak and see God turn it all around. Prayer is communion with God, spend your days in His Presence, talking with Him, walking with Him.
Intimacy is another key to unlocking the doors to power and anointing. As you look for Him, you will find Him. (Jeremiah 29:13). He’s waiting for you to seek Him first. Be still and know that He is God. (Psalm 46:10). Endless talking, yelling and demanding is not relationship, but abuse. Let’s forsake the prayer of religion, and embrace the love-conversation with our true Father. Let this year be full of communion in the Holy Spirit, with our devotion set on Jesus. Give Him your everything, lay down your life, and embrace His life as your own. “For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.” (Romans 8:19). Let 2022 be a year where we see the unveiling of the true children of God, walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. A powerless Christianity has lost its place! We step up and step into the true demonstration that Christ paid for
