Resurrection Power

Resurrection Power

Romans 8:11 (AMP) “And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.”

Ephesians 1:19–20 (AMP) “…and [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength which He produced in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places.”

The greatest gift we could ever receive has been given to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God with us, here and now. Scripture declares that if the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead lives in us, then He will also quicken and give life to our mortal bodies. This is a powerful truth: the very Spirit who raised Jesus from the grave is now at work within you and me. Resurrection life is not just an event we celebrate, it is a reality that flows in us daily.

Ephesians tells us that God longs for us to know the immeasurable greatness of His power at work within us. The knowing matters, because you can only receive what you truly believe. And this power is not natural or earned by effort. It is a gift imparted to us the moment we are born again. Our part is simple: to yield, surrender, and believe – the same resurrection power demonstrated in Christ when God raised Him from the dead now dwells in me.

Think about it, when someone receives a birthday gift, it isn’t because they’ve earned it. It’s simply because they were born. In the same way, the Holy Spirit is God’s gift to those who are born again. The Spirit is not earned; He is received. He is not achieved; He is known and embraced.

Isaiah 40 promises that those who wait on the Lord will “rise up on wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint.” This is not natural strength, it is supernatural empowerment. By the Spirit, we overcome the pressures of life, endure trials, rise above sickness, and live in victory.

God has given us His Son and His Spirit. God has given us His very life. May we yield to Him, embrace this reality, and walk daily in this power. There is resurrection life flowing through your veins!
