The Great Commission – Devotional

Matthew 28: 18-20
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Take The Nation’s mission is the Great Commission. We believe as a ministry if we are going to see the Nations turned back to Jesus Christ, there needs to be a willingness of obedience to what Jesus spoke to us in Matthew 28:18-20. “Go into all the world and make disciples…”
This is why we work with the local churches, so that when we do a Jesus Crusade we can make sure the people that have come to Jesus get put into a local church and discipled well!

This was Jesus’s last commandment to us before He ascended to the Father. It’s sad today in the church that statistic show that 50% of the church don’t know what the Great Commission is, and we believe there’s no better way of showing the church how it’s done by walking in it.
You see friends the Great Commission will not be fulfilled with our spare time or spare money. This is why Jesus says in Matthew 9:38, to ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into harvest.

There is such a great work that needs to be done! Even Jesus said the Harvest’s are plentiful. You might ask, “Well where is the harvest?”, the harvest is wherever there is people! Whether it’s in your work place, or family, or even in the gym. If there’s people, that’s the harvest. What an opportunity we have to share the Good News of our King with them! I pray that you will never take it for granted, because the Lord has strategically put you in the exact location to bring the light into the darkness. You have the privilege now to take the Great Commission to your work place, to your family, and to your friends! Don’t let any more days go by, as Jesus gave all His Children this commandment to do. Tell the whole world about Christ’s love for them! I pray that even now by you reading this, a fresh passion would rise up inside of you to take the Gospel everywhere you go. Jesus is looking for these people.
