Key Verse
“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” – Romans 8:19
Creation is waiting. But it is not waiting for the people of God to escape – creation is waiting for the people of God to be revealed. Romans 8 tells us that creation eagerly waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. God is looking for a people who will rise up, believe His Word and reveal Jesus to the world around them.
We are living in days when it is easy to focus on everything going wrong in the world. There are wars, persecution, darkness and uncertainty. But our lives cannot be governed by what we see around us. “The just shall live by faith.” We must make a decision: will we believe what we see, or will we believe what God has said?
God’s plan has always been bigger than darkness. Numbers 14:21 declares that “all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.” God desires to reveal His glory throughout the nations, and He has chosen to reveal Himself through His people. Wherever we are – in our homes, workplaces, schools, communities or nations – we have the privilege of carrying Christ into that place.
This is possible because of what Jesus accomplished on the cross. He died and rose again so that a generation of sons and daughters could come forth carrying His life. We are not trying to earn access to God. Jesus paid the price once and for all. He removed the distance and made us the dwelling place of His Spirit.
That means we do not have to travel somewhere special to encounter God. We carry Him. We carry His presence into the ordinary places of life. We do not need a microphone or a platform to reveal Jesus. Wherever we go, Christ goes with us.
Jesus said in John 7:37–38, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink… out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” We were never created to become reservoirs that simply receive from God. We are called to become rivers. What God places within us is meant to flow out of us and bring His life to others.
This is the mystery that has now been revealed: Christ in us. Our families are waiting. Our communities are waiting. Our nations are waiting. Creation is waiting for a generation that will stand up, believe the Word of God and reveal Jesus through their lives.
PRAYER:
Father, thank You for everything Jesus accomplished for us. Open our eyes to understand who we are in Christ and what You have placed within us. Let Your life, power and presence flow through us everywhere we go. May our lives reveal Jesus to our families, our communities and the nations. In Jesus’ name, amen.
TODAY: Wherever we go today, let us remember: we carry Christ. Creation is waiting for us to reveal Him.
